Job overviewThe school is seeking a talented and enthusiastic teacher of Humanities to join their outstanding 11-18 school, starting in September 2025. The ideal candidate will be able to teach RE to GCSE level and History or Geography to Key Stage 3. Experience in teaching GCSE Sociology and/or Key Stage 5 Criminology or Law would be a valuable asset. ECTs are welcome to apply.

- Location: Leeds
- Contract: Permanent full-time
- Pay Rate: £31650 - £49084 per annum(UPS rates will be considered)
Essential Requirements
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Passion for Humanities and education
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in History, Geography, and RE
- Teach across Key Stage 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 if appropriate)
- Use data effectively to track progress and plan interventions
- Mark and assess work in line with school policies
- Contribute to curriculum development and department planning
- Participate in school enrichment activities and trips
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments
- Keep up to date with subject knowledge and curriculum changes
- Maintain records of pupil progress and behaviour
- Implement safeguarding and child protection procedures effectively
