We’re currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic HLTA to join a 'Good’ ofsted rated secondary school inLeeds (LS3). This is a full-time role, supporting Key Stage 3 and 4 students.

Our team has built a strong reputation in the local area, and we’re looking for skilled HLTA's who can make a real difference in students’ progress and attainment.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting Students

  • Assess students' needs and use specialist skills to support their learning and development.
  • Build positive relationships with students, acting as a role model and setting high expectations.
  • Provide consistent support while recognising and responding to individual needs.

Supporting Teachers

  • Lead small group or whole-class sessions within an agreed lesson framework.
  • Deliver detailed feedback on lesson content, student engagement, and behaviour.
  • Manage learning environments and resources effectively.
  • Track and record students’ progress and achievements.
  • Contributing meetings with parents to provide constructive feedback on student attainment.

The ideal applicant will have:

  • Evidence of fulfilling the Higher Level Teaching Assistant standards and or ability and potential to fulfil them within the first 6 months of the role.
  • A passion for education and supporting young people.
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills (equivalent to at least NVQ Level 2 in English and Maths).
  • Relevant qualifications at A-level or equivalent (NQF Level 3).
  • Experience working with secondary school students.
  • Creativity and enthusiasm to engage and inspire pupils.
