We are looking for individuals with a keen interested in building a career supporting students that attend special schools across the Leeds area.  You will need to be pro-active in your approach and willing to adapt to pupils needs to support them.

We have temporary flexible full time, term time only placements, with opportunities of becoming permanent.

Job Spec & Description:

  • Teaching Assistant Qualification minimum level 2, Degree in SEND Education or equivalent.
  • Specific training skills: MAKATON, PECS, HOIST, Moving & Handling, First Aid, de-escalation all relevant and have an advantage, but not essential.
  • Knowledge, understanding of requirements for effective support in a SEND Setting.
  • Attend to the pupils needs and implement related programs including; social, health physical, hygiene, first aid and welfare matters.
  • Support the pupil’s special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Support Physical, sensory, communication and learning needs of the pupils.
  • Flexible and adaptable in your approach to working on supply term time only.
