Security Vetting Advisor - Leeds (Hybrid Working) - Permanent Opportunity

Description
To provide a comprehensive security vetting coordination service to the business, primarily but not exclusively in relation to MoD and Bluelight requirements, working closely with its external vetting providers in ensuring that processes are adhered to and implemented in a timely manner, allowing for quality business delivery.

The role requires you to be adaptable and flexible with an eye for detail and precision. Organisational skills and teamwork are essential to ensure you can multitask, balance priorities and complete tasks that maintain service levels expected by our staff and clients.

Importantly, you must be able to work from the office to carry out key work processes that can only be actioned at the Cockermouth, Leeds or Manchester office. This will require you to go through the appropriate security clearance process successfully to secure the role.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Ensure efficient processing of documents.
Help to maintain archive and track a variety of data
Efficient in the use of Microsoft office and database applications such as Bluebeam, PowerPoint, Publisher, Visio, Word, Excel, MS Forms etc.
Assist staff to comply with company security and GDPR protocols.
Actively suggest opportunities for efficiencies/improvements through your line manager.
Proactive approach and encompass a role of an exemplar of compliance to GDPR.
Liaise with our vetting sponsor to ensure new requests for security clearance are commenced in a timely manner
Provide guidance to applicants throughout the duration of the application process where required
Monitor clearance expiry dates to ensure that the renewal process is commenced with sufficient time to finalise before clearances lapse.
Liaise with our vetting sponsor to facilitate requests for new and renewals
Maintain accurate up-to-date records of completed clearances and applications in process.
Facilitate requests for clearance confirmations required by client organisations/sites
Provide vetting data to key stakeholders within the business when requested
Verify vetting sponsor transactions including payments
Assist our vetting sponsor in the execution of their duties in respect of clearances
Act as point of contact for a range of security vetting queries

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE
There is a requirement to hold SC clearance as a minimum to fulfil the role
Highly articulate with excellent interpersonal skills
Friendly and approachable with excellent customer service
Able to multi-task, organise and prioritise workloads whilst remaining calm under pressure
Willing to learn and expand your skills and have an attention to detail
Able to work well as a team and on your own
Willingness to be flexible and adaptable
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook, 365)
Excellent attention to detail.
Used to working in a highly organised and methodical manner
Strong verbal and written communication skills, liaising with both internal and external stakeholders
Pro-active attitude and a desire to provide a quality customer service
A willingness to consider new ways of working and adapt current processes where a beneficial change is identified
