Their core values focus on respect, integrity, and sustainability, and they strive to deliver excellence in everything they do. INDIRECT CATEGORY BUYER:Reporting directly to the Director of Supply Chain and Planning, you will play a key role in negotiating contracts, managing suppliers, and ensuring long-term value is achieved for the business.What you’ll be doing:
  • Manage the procurement of indirect categories such as office goods, consumables, hire contracts, services, and utilities.
  • Lead supplier negotiations to secure favourable terms and conditions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure value, compliance, and performance.
  • Identify opportunities for cost-saving initiatives and supplier consolidation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple sites to align procurement strategies with business goals.
  • Travel to supplier locations and across the Group’s sites as required.
Your background:
  • BSc or MSc degree, preferably in a relevant field.
  • Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Strong communication abilities, with experience engaging multiple stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset and strong logical reasoning skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Previous experience managing indirect spend or category purchases.
It would be a bonus if you have:
  • Knowledge of chemicals, chemical distribution, or chemical manufacturing.
  • CIPS qualification or equivalent.
  • Additional IT skills beyond MS Office and Dynamics.
  • Experience in contract management.
