We are looking for aJUNIOR/GRADUATE CAD ENGINEERto join great team in an established family-owned business in Leeds (LS11). Our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of electrical power distribution equipment and pioneers of super low loss amorphous transformer technology.
The Role:
You will be responsible for producing the mechanical and/or electrical arrangements for products and working within the Engineering Teams procedural framework to ensure all design requirements are met.
Key areas include:
- Issuing transformer designs to client specifications
- Developing and maintaining component libraries
- Maintaining standard designs and good design practices
Essential Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
- A relevant Mechanical Engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
- Well organised with good communication skills
- A sound knowledge of engineering design principles
- Good numeracy and I.T. skills
- Time management.
- Problem solving
- Attention to detail.
- Team-player, able to work in fast paced environments with multiple daily deliverables.
Desirable Skills (training will be offered):
- Autodesk AutoCAD 2D CAD
- Autodesk Inventor 3D Part Modelling and Assembly
- Knowledge of transformers
- Fabrication, manufacturing and construction experience
- Read & draw electrical schematics.

Working Hours:8:30 4:45 Monday to Thursday and 8:30 to 3:30 on Fridays 37.5 hours, the role is full in house.
