We are looking for aJUNIOR/GRADUATE CAD ENGINEERto join great team in an established family-owned business in Leeds (LS11). Our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of electrical power distribution equipment and pioneers of super low loss amorphous transformer technology.

The Role:

You will be responsible for producing the mechanical and/or electrical arrangements for products and working within the Engineering Teams procedural framework to ensure all design requirements are met.

Key areas include:

  • Issuing transformer designs to client specifications
  • Developing and maintaining component libraries
  • Maintaining standard designs and good design practices

Essential Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

  • A relevant Mechanical Engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Well organised with good communication skills
  • A sound knowledge of engineering design principles
  • Good numeracy and I.T. skills
  • Time management.
  • Problem solving
  • Attention to detail.
  • Team-player, able to work in fast paced environments with multiple daily deliverables.

Desirable Skills (training will be offered):

  • Autodesk AutoCAD 2D CAD
  • Autodesk Inventor 3D Part Modelling and Assembly
  • Knowledge of transformers
  • Fabrication, manufacturing and construction experience
  • Read & draw electrical schematics.
