Junior Backend Developer (6 Positions)
Project Overview: The goal of this project is to set up cloud infrastructure in a new region for various services currently running in a different region. The tasks include migrating to a new Java Development Kit, automating infrastructure creation, removing dependencies on unsupported services, and ensuring successful deployment and testing in the new region. Data migration is not included in this scope.
Key Responsibilities:
- Migrate services to Java Development Kit (JDK) 17 and a new SDK.
- Optimize services for a specific architecture (building locally for ARM).
- Automate infrastructure creation using a Cloud Development Kit (CDK).
- Replace unavailable services in the target region with alternatives.
- Eliminate the use of deprecated internal technologies.
- Migrate load balancers to new internal technologies.
- Deploy services in the new region and ensure all tests pass.
Skills Required: Candidates should have 2 years of experience in at least 4 of the following areas:
- Java Backend Development
- Infrastructure Automation (e.g., CloudFormation, CDK)
- Cloud Services (e.g., AWS)
- Networking
- DevOps Experience
