Rate: £12.81
Role Overview:Support economically inactive adults, including parents, carers, and those facing health, social, and economic barriers to employment. Help them overcome these barriers and identify pathways back to work through education, training, or direct employment support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engagement: Build trusting relationships and develop personalized support plans.
- Unlocking Barriers: Identify and address obstacles such as health issues, confidence, and practical support needs.
- Employment Support: Assist with job searching, interview preparation, and accessing training or education.
Main Duties:
- Manage a caseload of 15-20 clients, providing intensive support initially and tapering off over six months.
- Conduct initial assessments and develop action plans.
- Offer face-to-face and other communication support.
- Facilitate referrals to other services and attend multi-agency meetings.
- Utilize local networks to promote the program.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Experience in recognizing and addressing barriers to employment.
- Ability to support with CVs, cover letters, and job applications.
- UK driving licence
- Knowledge of local services and employability opportunities.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Expectations:
- Adhere to policies and procedures, especially safeguarding.
- Attend meetings, supervision, and training as required.
- Work cooperatively with volunteers and other team members.
