Pay Rate: Basic Salary: C1 Ā£22,571.00 - Ā£24,919.00 (Pro Rata) with sleep-in rate of Ā£36.08,

Night enhancement (time and third after 10pm) and 50% Weekend enhancement rate (time and a half).

Typical earnings are Ā£29,817 - Ā£32,419.

Role: Full Time. Hours of work are flexible and determined by the needs of the service and are on a shift basis which includes early mornings and late-night shifts, weekends and bank holidays. Potential sleep overnight shifts.

Role:

  • Under the general direction of the Registered Manger, Senior Staff and Care Offices, you will work as a team to deliver a high standard of care which meets the individual needs of the children and young people both socially and emotionally.
  • To make and maintain positive relationships with the children and young people, and to safely meet the physical care and management needs of children and young people who may present challenging behaviour.Ā 
  • To offer additional and supplementary cover to the existing staff teams within childrenā€™s homes on an ā€œas and whenā€ basis.

Qualifications:

  • Educated to GCSE level in or equivalent.
  • Basic computer literacy is essential. To hold qualifications in both literacy and numeracy.Ā 
  • Ā Although, there is no requirement to undertake the minimum qualification of Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care this would be an advantage
