Community Resource Worker

Are you passionate about supporting children, young people, and families in need? We are looking for a dedicated Community Resource Worker to provide essential support, guidance, and advocacy for families facing challenges. This role is vital in ensuring children's emotional, physical, intellectual, and cultural needs are met while helping families navigate complex situations with sensitivity and care.

Working directly with children, carers, and other professionals, you will play a key role in assessing needs, developing intervention plans, and ensuring access to relevant support services. You will assist in crisis situations, provide culturally sensitive guidance, and work within community settings, homes, and resource centers to deliver high-quality support. Additionally, you will contribute to preventative services, helping to maintain and improve the quality of care provided both within and outside the family environment.

Ideal candidates will have experience working with children and families, particularly in child protection, mental health, domestic violence, or substance misuse contexts. Knowledge of child development, safeguarding procedures, and multi-agency working is essential. Strong communication skills, resilience, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are key to success in this role.

This role requires flexibility, including occasional evening and weekend work, as well as the ability to travel within the community. A clean, valid driving licence and business car insurance are essential. If you are committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable children and families, we would love to hear from you.
