We are currently seeking a Housing Advisor to join our clients dedicated team and support the delivery of excellent housing services that align with their values and help improve the lives of their customers. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to be part of a vibrant team working to enhance neighbourhoods, build strong partnerships, and deliver services that respond to local needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in providing excellent customer service that upholds values and makes a real difference in the lives of customers.
  • Work closely with the Neighbourhood Officer to ensure services meet policies and procedures and are responsive to local needs.
  • Support the delivery of inclusive and effective customer involvement opportunities in neighbourhoods.
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of Neighbourhood Plans, keeping customer priorities at the heart of what they do.
  • Be a visible presence in the neighbourhood, conducting regular scheme inspections alongside the Neighbourhood Officer.
  • Support the management of tenancy/lease terms, addressing breaches when they occur.
  • Help monitor neighbourhood service contracts, such as gardening and cleaning, driving up standards and ensuring value for money.
  • Engage with community groups and stakeholders to benefit customers in their neighbourhoods.
  • Build and maintain effective partnerships with key stakeholders such as the police, local authority, and customers.
  • Support the recruitment and involvement of the Customer Liaison Committee in service scrutiny.
  • Assist in implementing improvements identified through customer satisfaction surveys and neighbourhood assessments.
  • Help deliver pre-sign-up procedures, including visits to prospective customers and ensuring allocations are efficient and sustainable.
  • Provide support for periodic visits to customers in managed contracts and assist in delivering events and Tenancy Committee activities.
  • Support the delivery of development sites, including advertising.

The Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, a proactive approach, and a passion for improving communities. You should be comfortable working as part of a team, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering customer-focused services that make a tangible difference.

Experience in a housing, customer service, or community development role is desirable, as is an understanding of housing management processes and customer engagement.
