As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping students overcome barriers to learning, ensuring they receive the necessary support to thrive both academically and personally. This position is ideal for individuals who have a genuine interest in supporting students with diverse learning needs, helping them build confidence and achieve their full potential.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students in small groups and one-to-one settings.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of personalised learning plans.
  • Work closely with teachers to ensure all students are included in classroom activities.
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN) and those requiring additional assistance.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Encourage the development of social and emotional skills, fostering independence.
  • Assist in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a productive learning atmosphere.


Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role within a secondary school setting.
  • A solid understanding of the challenges faced by students with special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • A patient, empathetic, and supportive approach to working with young people.
  • A commitment to promoting equality and diversity in the classroom.
