Learning Support Assistant - Leeds SEN School

NextGen Teachers are currently working with a warm and welcoming SEN school based in Leeds who are seeking to recruit a full-time Learning Support Assistant for a full-time position to start as soon as possible.

This role will be to support children across the Primary and Secondary age range who have an Educational Health care Plan (EHCP) and who live with; Autism, ADHD, MLD, SLD, Global delay, Cognitive delay and complex needs. The hours for this position would be 8:30am - 3:30pm and would be to work Monday - Friday during term time.

The school are looking for a candidate with at least 2 years of experience working in a Special Needs school and who has a very good understanding of working with children with Special Needs such as; Autism and Global delay.

Majority of the pupils who attend this school are pre-verbal and require personal care and training / support will be given within your first 4 weeks of starting the position.
