Learning Support Assistant

NextGen Teachers are currently working in partnership with a two-form entry Primary School in South Leeds (LS11) who are seeking to recruit a full-time Learning Support Assistant. This is a diverse school with over 20+ languages spoken and the school pride themselves on the diversity and inclusion of all pupils. NextGen Teachers is an Education Recruitment Agency working with numerous schools across the Leeds and Bradford areas.

There is a strong emphasis on Speech and Language and Phonics across school as many of the children at this school are new to England/English. The school uses the Read Write Inc scheme and Teachers who are familiar with this scheme would be preferable.

Learning Support Assistant Requirements:

  • Strong communication to liaise with staff and parents
  • A caring and empathetic nature
  • Experience working in a classroom setting
  • Extensive experience with Phonics screening and testing
  • DBS on the update service
  • 2x professional references
  • The right to work in the UK

Interviews for this position will be taking place in the 2nd week of January 2025.
