Social Worker required for Leeds' City Council's Child Protection Team. Competitive rates on offer, up to £40 per hour for the right candidate. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a well-established, very experienced team.Responsible for:

  • Working with children on the child protection register, looked after children and children in need
  • Attending court
  • Assessments and Core Assessments
  • LAC Reviews
  • Giving Evidence
  • Managing a varied caseload
  • Court Reports
  • Section 47's

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a valid registration.
  • Experience working within a child protection or looked after children's team.
  • Excellent communication, assessment, and report-writing skills.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation and safeguarding procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
