Embedded Software Engineer
Offering Circa £40,000 - £50,000 Basic Salary Plus Benefits
Our client is a Manufacturing company representing a wide range of major UK and International brands. Based in Leeds and due to their continued growth, they are currently recruiting an Embedded Software Engineer to join their business. The successful candidate will design, develop, and implement embedded software for a variety of industrial applications.
Embedded Software Engineer - Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test embedded software systems for AVR and ARM platforms.
- Program, configure, and troubleshoot PLCs, to support automation, ensuring seamless communication between software and hardware.
- Conduct testing, troubleshooting and debussing of embedded software.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers, systems architects, and team members to develop integrated solutions, provide technical support during design and deployment.
- Stay updated on advancements in embedded systems and PLC technology.
- Prepare detailed documentation for software design, integration testing and maintenance.
Embedded Software Engineer - Skills & Experience
- Solid experience in embedded software development.
- Strong PLC programming with Allen- Bradley or equivalent.
- Strong experience of configuration and troubleshooting.
- Proficient in C, C++, and/ or other relevant embedded programming languages.
- Solid understating of hardware/software integration.
- Knowledge of Safety standards, including IEC 61508 or similar.
The Embedded software Engineer position is offering circa £40,000 -£50,000 basic salary plus great benefits for the successful candidate. This is a full time, permanent, Leeds based position, including occasional travel to client sites for systems installations or troubleshooting.
