Description

  • Review Project Requirements: Thoroughly understand project specifications, plans, and drawing.
  • Material Costs: Determine the cost of raw materials (plastics, wood, hardware, etc.).
  • Negotiate Prices: Negotiate with suppliers to get the best prices and terms.
  • Cost Breakdown: Prepare detailed cost breakdowns for each component of the project.
  • Budget Preparation: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring alignment with client expectations and company profitability goals.
  • Prepare Proposals: Develop comprehensive proposals and bids, detailing the scope of work, pricing, and timelines.
  • Profit Margins: Ensure profit margins are maintained while staying competitive in the market.
  • Identify Risks: Identify potential risks that could impact costs, such as market fluctuations or supply chain issues.
  • Internal Coordination: Work closely with engineering, design, procurement, and production teams to gather accurate data.
  • Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to clarify requirements and present cost estimates.
  • Maintain Records: Keep accurate records of all estimates, quotes, and related correspondence.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously seek ways to improve the estimation process for accuracy and efficiency.

Profile

A successful Estimator should have:

  • A degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Experience in cost estimation within the industrial/manufacturing sector.
  • Proficiency in using estimation and project management software.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
  • Strong communication and team collaboration abilities
