Location: Leeds, LS11
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week (No weekends, no bank holidays)

Are you experienced in construction products or building materials? Do you have a background in the builders or timber merchant industry? We are looking for a proactive and reliable Yard Supervisor to join our team at a well-established Builders & Timber Merchant in Leeds.
About the Role:
As a Yard Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of the yard, ensuring that all products are stored, organised, and dispatched safely and efficiently. You will work closely with our transport team, running the collection service and liaising with customers and drivers to ensure smooth and timely deliveries. You will be responsible for managing a team, ensuring tasks are completed to a high standard, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage a team within the yard, ensuring high standards of organisation and safety.
- Oversee the collection service, coordinating with transport to ensure smooth operations.
- Liaise with drivers, customers, and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries and collections.
- Ensure yard operations comply with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain stock control and organisation of building materials and timber products.
- Troubleshoot any issues with deliveries or collections, providing excellent customer service.
- Support the day-to-day running of the yard, assisting with stock management and order fulfilment.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience working with construction products or building materials.
- Ideally, experience in a Builders Merchant or Timber Merchant environment.
- Strong supervisory or management experience, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with transport teams and customers.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, with a focus on delivering quality service.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations within a yard or warehouse setting.
