About the Role:Â As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working with pupils who have a wide range of special educational needs, including autistic spectrum conditions, moderate to severe learning difficulties, hearing and visual impairments, physical difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs. You will support these pupils in their learning and development, helping them to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to pupils with special educational needs.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Learning Pathway Plans (ILPPs) and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Use various communication methods, including Makaton, PECS, and communication aids, to support pupils' communication needs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Support pupils' social and emotional development through various approaches, including Zones of Regulation and Positive Play.
