Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with challenging behaviour?

We are looking for a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with children who require behavioural support in a Leeds-based primary school. This role is initially from April to July, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide 1:1 support to children with challenging behaviour, helping them engage in learning
- Implement positive behaviour strategies to support emotional regulation and social development
- Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to create tailored support plans
- Assist with de-escalation techniques and provide a calm, structured learning environment
- Encourage children to develop confidence, independence, and positive interactions
- Support the academic and personal growth of pupils, adapting approaches to suit individual needs
- Experience working with children with challenging behaviour in a school or similar setting
- Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques
- Ability to build trusting relationships and provide emotional support
- A patient, resilient, and proactive approach to learning support
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
