We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team, focusing on supporting pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD). This role is both challenging and rewarding, offering the opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of students by ensuring their educational and personal care needs are met.Day-to-day of the role:
  • Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the classroom teacher.
  • Provide personal care, including changing and cleaning, ensuring the dignity and comfort of each pupil.
  • Support pupils with their physical, emotional, and social development.
  • Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and support learning activities.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a similar role or a transferable role is essential.
  • Comfortable with providing personal care, including changing and cleaning.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with special needs.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
