About the Role:
Career Teachers is seeking compassionate and dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistants to join our team and support students in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Leeds. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored educational support to children with special needs, helping them to reach their full potential.
Responsibilities:
Provide support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in the classroom and during other school activities
Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons that cater to the individual needs of students
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
Support students with their academic, social, and emotional development
Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students
Requirements:
Previous experience working with SEND students is essential
A patient, empathetic, and understanding approach to supporting students
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
A genuine passion for supporting the education and development of children with special needs
