Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced SEN Administrator to join Leeds Council on an initial 3 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

The Role:

  • Respond to voicemails, emails and web enquiries made to the advice line.
  • Provide initial, general information and advice on SEND processes and topics.
  • Provide appropriate signposting, in line with enquiries.
  • Collect service user data to allow for creation of, and on-going records, in line with service policies and GDPR requirements.
  • Provide triage assessment for enquires that require additional advice and support.
  • Support with the delivery of virtual and in-person outreach activities such as information sessions, workshops and advice sessions.
  • Support with writing and updating service resources.
  • Write and post social media updates.
  • Appropriately escalate risk or concerns about safeguarding in a timely way.

Requirements:

  • Understand the needs of vulnerable children and their families particularly those with complex and Special Educational Needs
  • Ability to interpret legislation in a user friendly manner for families in a format they understand
  • Ability to defuse situations which may lead to conflict and breakdown of communications for young people, children and their families
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • An ability to collect and analyse data for strategic monitoring
