About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a supportive secondary school in Leeds. This is a full-time position starting ASAP. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning by covering lessons in the absence of teachers. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain classroom experience or considering a career in teaching.

Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working in a school setting is desirable.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Eligibility to work in the UK.

- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- Adaptability and flexibility to work across different subjects.

- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.

Responsibilities
- Supervise and deliver pre-prepared lessons across various subjects.
- Ensure that students remain focused and engaged during lessons.
- Provide constructive feedback to students when required.
- Maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
- Support students with their learning and answer questions where appropriate.
- Adapt to different subjects and year groups as required.
- Ensure that classroom resources are used effectively and returned correctly.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to provide continuity of learning.
- Ensure that all work set by the teacher is completed to a high standard.
- Support students with special educational needs (SEN) where applicable.
