Day-to-day of the role:- Provide emergency medical support to pupils.
- Gain and apply specialist medical knowledge through training.
- Support the Healthcare Supervisor in monitoring pupils’ medical needs.
- Manage medications, ensuring safe storage and accurate logs.
- Communicate with parents about their child’s health.
- Collaborate with class teachers to minimize the impact of medical interventions on learning.
- Maintain accurate records using paper and ICT.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, setting high expectations.
- Follow safe systems of work for moving and handling pupils.
- Promote inclusion and acceptance of all pupils.
- Comply with health, safety, security, confidentiality, and data protection policies.
- Safeguard all pupils and promote their welfare by following child protection procedures.
- Relevant medical training and qualifications.
