Special Educational Needs Teacher

Salary: M2 - UPS3 (+ SEN allowance)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and forward-thinking SEN Teacher to join a new and vibrant Special Needs School based in Leeds. This well-resourced and supportive school is looking for a skilled professional to provide high-quality teaching to pupils across the Primary and Secondary age range with;ASC, ADHD and Global Delay.
The school boasts a strong inclusion ethos and is committed to helping every child achieve their potential. The successful candidate will work closely SLT to provide high-quality, tailored learning support to students.
This school has three pathways for students of mixed ages and class sizes range between 5-10 pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialist lessons to pupils who are Neurodiverse
- Maintain lessons in line with the students EHCPs
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons using varied teaching strategies to support progress
- Maintain clear and accurate records of lessons, targets, and assessments
- Liaise effectively with class teachers and parents to support student development
- Contribute actively to department meetings and stay up to date with best practice in SEN
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching pupils with complex EHCPs
- A collaborative and proactive attitude, with the ability to liaise across departments
- Excellent organisational skills, with a commitment to maintaining accurate records and planning
- Experience working in a primary or secondary setting with diverse learning needs
