A great opportunity has arisen for a material handler to join a worldclass bespoke manufacturing company who provide solutions to a variety of industries including Retail, Industrial and Construction.

Job Description:

  • Loading and unloading of various types of products including abnormal loads
  • Transporting and processing various materials
  • Using general workshop machinery and hand tools related the role
  • Quality inspection of colleague’s output
  • Maximise the uptime of operations by delivering materials in a timely manner
  • Performance of area housekeeping activities, including the prompt reporting of problems shortages or equipment breakdown
  • Stock Control / Inventory Management

Beneficial Skills / Experience:

  • Hands-on experience working within a manufacturing environment is essential
  • Counterbalance FLT
  • Full driving licence – beneficial
  • Experience working within a mechanical/electrical engineering environment is desirable
  • The ability to understand mechanical and schematic drawings is desirable
  • Role suitable for those who thrive in active, physical task environment
  • Have good written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working collaboratively with other operations personnel
  • Ideally experience working within a continuous improvement environment
  • ‘Can do’ attitude with the ability to work unsupervised using own initiative
  • Flexible approach with hours and a willingness to work across other areas of the business
  • Good attention to detail

Additional Details:

  • Hours of work – 39 per week: Monday to Thursday 8:30am - 5pm & Friday 8:30am - 4pm.
  • Salary up to £27000
  • 7% company pension contribution (employee non-contributory pension scheme)
  • Annual Company-wide tax-free Employee Ownership Bonus scheme (non-guaranteed, however this has been £3,600 per year for the last 3 years, and a record £6,500 for 2023/24)
  • Enhanced holidays package comprising; 33 days annual leave (including Bank Holidays) plus an additional Birthday holiday.
  • Extra Two half days holidays are given on Christmas Eve & New Year’s Eve
  • Company shares scheme with an annual dividend (dependant on company performance)
  • £400 holiday spending money, per Annum
  • OTE – Circa £33,000
