Manufacturing Futures are working in partnership with a large multinational manufacturing business to find their next Procurement Manager / Senior Buyer due to internal growth and development. This is a forward thinking company where new ideas will be encouraged and efforts rewarded! You will be an integral part of the Procurement team working with stakeholders across the region to promote the function and develop standard processes and governance. As the New Procurement Manager you will be responsible for the purchasing of direct and indirect materials and services for manufacturing sites. Procurement Manager - Roles and Responsibilities - Buyer, Purchasing, Supply Chain- Ensure all site materials and services are purchased effectively- Ensure a high level of customer service at all times, representing your company positively and enthusiastically to all - Implement the preferred supply base and manage the local purchasing needs. Review suppy base on a regular basis- Take the initiative to identify process improvement opportunities, making recommendations where necessary- Always promoting procurement best practice in a complex, multi-site operation. Must uphold the highest of standards and professionalism at all times- Create strong relationships across other departments such as Operations, Quality and Finance- Be a people person, communicating effectively and working collaboratively Procurement Manager - Skills and Abilities - Buyer, Purchasing, Supply Chain- Previous experience in related manufacturing focused industry- Must be extremely process driven, able to work fast and effectively with numbers, computer packages etc- Excellent communication & presentation skills, very high level of professionalism shown at all times - Knowledge of using systems technology - At least 3 years of previous successful experience of buying or procurement management experience for a large manufacturing company is essential Procurement Manager - Qualifications - Buyer, Purchasing, Supply Chain- BSc, BA or equivalent- MCIPS preferred- Management qualifications could be an advantage
