Sales Engineer
UK Based role, 35-40k +Car, laptop, phone, progression

Technical Sales Professional with experience selling into the civil's, drainage, Gas or water industry required for a field-based position. You will be required to undertake all aspects of business development, identifying potential customers, investigating new markets, sales calls, appointment making, and face-to-face visits to understand requirements and provide a suitable engineering solution fully.

The role of Technical Sales Engineer will include:
?Understanding customer requirements with a view to providing effective engineering solutions
?Undertaking construction site visits to demonstrate equipment to customers
?30 % office based 70 % field based with some overnight stays
?Proactively identify new clients and maximise existing client potential
?Sales activities including research, appointment making, cold call, site visits and equipment demonstrations to develop long-term relationships with customers
?Manage and interpret customer requirements offering the best products and services for quality, price, and delivery.
?Calculate client quotations, analyse costs to ensure profitability Pre-sales and after-sales technical assistance, product advice, and training
?Work to and exceed targets and coordinate sales projects.
?Attending trade shows, conferences
?Keeping customers informed about new technological products.

Key Skills required for the Technical Sales Engineer include:
?Ideally come from a civils, water or drainage background with confident knowledge of how to communicate effectively in these industries
?Experience within sales is preferable however training can be offered
?Happy to work in a site-based environment on a regular basis and in all weathers
?Technically minded and practical with strong interpersonal, persuasive and communication skills.
?Able to identify, build and follow up on leads and close sales
?Engineering qualifications would be of great interest
?Excellent presentation skills and a professional appearance.
?A valid driver's license and a willingness to travel extensively.
?Exceptional organisational skills, able handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
?Good numerical skills, able to produce detailed MS Excel spreadsheets.
