Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Upholsterer with experience in high-end furniture production, particularly in chair upholstery. This role requires a meticulous professional who takes pride in their craft, has an eye for detail, and is comfortable working with premium fabrics, leather, and custom finishes. You will play a key role in bringing their designs to life, ensuring that each piece meets the quality standards and exceeds client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Upholster a variety of chair styles.
Handle and work with luxury materials such as high-grade leather, velvet, and designer fabrics.
Cut, shape, and sew fabrics with precision to ensure perfect fit and alignment.
Attach fabric, padding, and trim using hand tools, staple guns, and specialized upholstery equipment.
Maintain consistency in quality, ensuring every chair meets our high standards.
Collaborate with the design team to execute custom upholstery requests.
Repair or reupholster existing pieces as needed.

Working Hours

40-hour work week over four days (Monday - Thursday).
Enjoy a 3-day weekend every week while working in a focused, productivity-oriented schedule.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of upholstery experience.
Expertise in working with a variety of upholstery materials, including leather and luxury fabrics.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to craftsmanship and quality.
Ability to read and interpret design specifications and measurements accurately.
Familiarity with different upholstery techniques, including tufting, piping, and cushion filling.
Ability to work independently and efficiently, managing time to meet project deadlines.
A creative approach to problem-solving and a proactive attitude.
