Foundation Learning Lecturer Location: West Yorkshire Contract: Part Time - Temporary Rate: £25 - £28 per hour Eden Brown are seeking 2 passionate and experienced Foundation Learning Lecturers for a Further Education College in West Yorkshire to join their team and deliver high-quality teaching to learners at Entry Level 3. You will play a key role in supporting students with diverse needs, helping them develop essential skills in literacy, numeracy, employability, and personal development. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact on students' lives and progression. Role 1 - To start Monday 3rd March - 3rd April initially - Days are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday (9:00am - 4:15pm) - This include personal development, FS English and maths, a booklet as part of their coursework, enterprise and readiness for work Role 2 - To start Monday 3rd March - ongoing - Days are Monday & Wednesday (9:00am - 4:15pm) - This would be for a work-related skills class- with an employability focus Key Responsibilities: - Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons tailored to Entry Level 3 learners. - Support students in developing key skills in English, Maths, and personal development. - Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and confidence. - Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to meet individual learner needs. - Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and tailored support. - Maintain accurate records and contribute to the college's quality assurance processes. - Promote student wellbeing, independence, and employability skills. - Engage with parents, carers, and external stakeholders to support learner progression. About You: To be successful in this role, you should have: - A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent). - Experience delivering foundation learning, functional skills, or similar programmes. - A Level 3 or above qualification in a relevant subject area. - Experience working with SEND and/or students with EHCPs - A passion for supporting learners with additional needs or barriers to education. - Strong classroom management and communication skills. - Experience using a range of teaching strategies to engage and support learners. - A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
