Job Title: Production Operative

Location: Leeds

Salary: £12.12 per hour

Contract: 12 weeks temp to perm

Working Hours: Shift work including days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays on a rota basis over 7 days

Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts, 7am - 7pm (2 days, 2 nights, 4 off)

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Production Operative to join our clients` team and support the production, warehouse, and maintenance departments in their day-to-day operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring Health & Safety, BRC, and ISO standards are met at all times. Responsibilities include supporting with warehouse duties, maintaining hygiene standards, assisting in production tasks, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support production, warehouse, and maintenance teams in their daily tasks

- Assist in warehouse duties such as loading/unloading vehicles, maintaining cleanliness, and internal stock movements

- Help production team with unloading finished goods, banding completed pallets, and stretch wrapping

- Receive training on extrusion equipment, Silo blower, resin drier, and core cutter

- Perform cleaning duties during machine shutdowns and assist in running the in-house recycling machine

- Work efficiently both independently and as part of a team

- Meet deadlines and targets in a fast-paced environment

- Demonstrate a positive work ethic and strong team working skills

Requirements:

- Counterbalance license preferable, but not essential

- Willingness to learn and understand the extrusion manufacturing process

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

- Strong team working skills
