Job Summary: We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of long-term loyalty to previous employers and possess the necessary skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and strong communication abilities to ensure seamless operations across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offload and load stock/products, including abnormal loads and lengths, ensuring safe and efficient handling.
  • Distribute, store, and manage inventory, maintaining accurate records and finding appropriate storage solutions.
  • Operate a forklift truck (FLT) if licensed, and use hand tools confidently.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings to assist with inventory management and placement.
  • Work collaboratively with various departments, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
  • Maintain physical fitness to handle manual tasks such as putting stock away and organizing the warehouse.
  • Multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment, meeting strict deadlines.
  • Solve problems proactively and communicate effectively with team members and management.
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and reliability, becoming a dependable member of the team.

Qualifications:

  • Proven long-term loyalty to previous employers.
  • Forklift truck (FLT) license preferred.
  • Experience in offloading abnormal loads and handling non-standard pallets.
  • Valid driving license and own transport.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Physically fit for manual tasks.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work on own initiative.
  • Experience in inventory management.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings is favorable.
  • Confident using hand tools.
  • Highly detail-oriented and able to work to strict deadlines.
  • Easy to get along with and a hands-on individual.
