Warehouse Operative

Location: Leeds LS9

Temp – Perm

Shift Pattern: 3-week rota as follows

  • 6am-2pm
  • 2pm – 10pm
  • 10pm-6am

We are seeking a diligent Warehouse Operative to join our client on a temporary to permanent basis. The main purpose of this role is to support the warehouse operations by wrapping and strapping pallets, emptying stillages, and maintaining a safe and clean working environment. Reporting to the Team Leader and Warehouse Manager, this role is essential in ensuring the smooth running of their warehouse activities.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Strap any raw material/work in progress returned from production
  • Assist with de-boarding OPP pallets and emptying stillages, ensuring compliance with de-stilling dates
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to the warehouse cleaning rota
  • Wrap and strap finished goods in preparation for dispatch
  • Empty production and warehouse bins into the compactor as required
  • Actively participate in health and safety practices, including reporting near misses and correct use of PPE
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations and follow warehouse safety rules
  • Ensure all fire exits and walkways are always clear
  • Communicate effectively and attend team meetings as required

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in a warehouse environment is preferred
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations within a warehouse setting
  • Ability to follow strict safety and operational procedures
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Physical fitness to perform manual tasks and operate warehouse equipment safely
