Leakage Technician
UK Based role, 35-40k + Commission, Car, laptop, phone, progression
Are you a leakage technician or utility surveyor with confident interpersonal skills who is seeking a new challenge?
We are looking for a professional candidate with extensive experience in clean water networks to undertake a technical sales role promoting tracing and repair equipment into civils and drainage.
You will be given full training in aspects of business development, what we require is your industry knowledge and understanding of the day to day challenges.
The role of Sales Engineer will include:
- Visit customers to fully understand their operational problems and challenges
- Advise them on the best, and most cost-effective piece of equipment for their needs
- Undertaking site visits to demonstrate equipment and promote its benefits
- Try to identify opportunities to upsell and cross sell
- Identify new clients and maintain existing customer relationships
- Sales activities including research, appointment making, cold call, site visits (training given)
- Calculate client quotations
- Provide after sales technical assistance, product advice and training
- Attend trade shows and conferences
- Keeping customers informed about new products.
Key Skills required include:
- A clean water or drainage background within leak detection or utilities surveying
- Confident knowledge of how to communicate effectively in the industry
- Happy to work in a site-based environment on a regular basis and in all weathers
- Technically minded and practical with strong interpersonal, persuasive and communication skills.
- Excellent presentation skills and a professional appearance.
- A valid driver's license, willingness to travel extensively and stay away from home when required.
- Good numerical skills, able to produce detailed MS Excel spreadsheets.
