Sales Account Manager (FMCG)

Leek, Staffordshire

Up to £60,000 DOE   

Monday – Friday (Full-Time) 8.45am – 5.00pm

Our reputable leading manufacturer within the FMCG industry are currently looking for an experienced Technical Sales Manager to join their team.  This position will be responsible for driving sales and revenue growth through the development and management of client relationships, specifically in the specialised Sector.

Main Responsibilities of the Sales Account Manager   

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet organizational sales goals and revenues.
  • Identify and target potential customers and generate new business opportunities.
  • Manage and grow existing accounts by understanding client needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the company’s products, services, and technologies.
  • Provide technical advice and support to clients and the sales team.
  • Working alongside the Head of Sales and the Head of Product Development conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations to prospective clients.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for technical sales inquiries and issues.
  • Work closely with clients, the Sales team, and NPD team to understand their requirements and provide optimal solutions.

Experience and Skills required

  • Bachelors degree in nutritional/FSMP products, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical sales or a similar role.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing customer base.
  • Strong technical knowledge in nutritional and FSMP products
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms that all stakeholders understand.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-centric mindset.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
