We arelooking to support our customer with contract Mechanical Fitters, if you are active in the market place, worked in manufacturing this could be for you.

Job Purpose:

To carry out mechanical maintenance, repair, and installation activities on a variety of equipment to ensure smooth and safe plant operation. This role is critical in maintaining the mechanical integrity of chemical plant equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and minimizing downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Equipment Maintenance:

    • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machinery such as pumps, valves, compressors, heat exchangers, and conveyors.
    • Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on rotating and static equipment.
    • Ensure lubrication and servicing of equipment as per schedules.
  2. Installation & Commissioning:

    • Install new mechanical systems and components in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
    • Assist in the commissioning of equipment and ensure proper functioning post-installation.
  3. Troubleshooting:

    • Quickly and efficiently troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide corrective action to minimize downtime.
    • Analyze equipment failures and suggest improvements to prevent recurring issues.
  4. Welding & Fabrication:

    • Perform basic welding and fabrication work for modifications and repairs.
    • Ensure all fabricated parts comply with safety and quality standards.
  5. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE):

    • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
    • Participate in safety drills and safety audits as required.
    • Report safety hazards and incidents in a timely manner.
    • Work in compliance with local environmental and chemical safety regulations INDWH
