Description

The Head of Manufacturing Operations will report into the Operations Director and forms a critical part of the site leadership team. They will:

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of the manufacturing operation, responsible for c.500 colleagues
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement efficient and cost-effective solutions
  • Collaborate with other department heads to align processes and strategies
  • Lead a team of professionals, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement
  • Manage departmental budgets
  • Monitor performance metrics and implement necessary corrective actions
  • Manage relationships with key operational vendors and service providers
  • Continually develop team to create high performance culture

Profile

The successful Head of Manufacturing Operations will possess a range of the following:

  • Significant experience in a leadership role within the FMCG industry (ideally food or food related sector)
  • Strong knowledge of production management principles and best practices
  • Ability to manage effectively through direct reporting line
  • Proven track record of managing large teams and high levels of SKUs
  • Excellent problem-solving, strategic thinking, and leadership skills
  • Strong people leader with a hands on approach
  • High level communicator with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation
  • Highly ambitious and self-motivated
