About the Role:
We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic Girls' PE Teacher to join a well-established and thriving PE department. The successful candidate will have a love for physical education and the ability to inspire students to be active, healthy, and confident in their abilities. You will be teaching across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, and you will play a key role in encouraging girls to participate in a wide range of physical activities, from team sports to individual fitness.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and varied PE lessons to girls in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Promote a positive attitude towards physical fitness and well-being among students.
Inspire and encourage students to reach their full potential both in lessons and extra-curricular activities.
Support the development of a strong sports culture within the school, organizing and coaching teams for local competitions and tournaments.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where all students feel motivated to participate.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to help students improve.
Work collaboratively with the PE department to develop and improve the PE curriculum and school-wide physical activity initiatives.
Participate in school events, including parents' evenings, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.
Key Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in Physical Education or a related field.
Experience teaching PE in a secondary school setting, with a particular focus on girls' sports.
A passion for promoting physical activity and healthy living among young people.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
Ability to inspire and motivate students, encouraging them to reach their full potential.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively within a department.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
A DBS on the update service or the willingness to purchase a new one through Aspire People.
