We are currently looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to provide individualised care and support at a vibrant school in the Leek, Staffordshire area. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children with SEN.Key Details:

  • Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Location: Leek, Staffordshire
  • Salary: Minimum of £83.33 per day
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 15:30
  • Contract: Temporary agency supply, long term and short-term roles available

Responsibilities:

  • Support children aged 5-11 with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, MLD, and SLD.
  • Assist in the delivery of a tailored curriculum and contribute to creating an inclusive classroom environment.
  • Work closely with the teaching staff to implement effective strategies that promote student learning and well-being.
  • Engage with students one-on-one or in small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of students, providing feedback to teachers and parents as required.

Requirements:

  • A genuine interest in working with children with SEN and a commitment to their development.
  • Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, students, and parents.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to meet the needs of the children and the school.
