Your new companyHays are recruiting on behalf of an SEN school based in Leek for Teaching Assistants to provide long term support to students with a variety of SEN needs. Excitingly, we have start dates available for January, so this is the perfect role for someone looking to make a New Year change!Your new role

  • Support Students with a variety of SEN needs including:
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
  • Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
  • Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
  • Complex Needs
  • 1:1 or group work with students who require additional support
  • Assisting the teacher with classroom preparation
  • Leading group work
  • Helping the class teacher with pupil observations

What you'll need to succeed

  • A full UK Drivers licence desirable.
  • Able to work full time Mon-Fri 08.30 - 15.30
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with both students and colleagues.
  • Resilience, patience and empathy when dealing with students facing challenging circumstances.
