We are excited to welcome applicants to teach on our highly successful Engineering and Carpentry & Joinery (C&J) programmes at our Leek Campus.

We are looking to recruit a sessional lecturer of Construction who can teach units across a range of qualifications, including the T-Level in Onsite Construction and the Extended Diploma in Site Carpentry.

This permanent post is for 8 hours per week.

About You

We welcome candidates with a range of experience, including experienced Carpentry and Joinery teachers. We are, however, also seeking applications from recent Construction graduates and experienced industry professionals with good communication skills, a passion for construction and a desire to help young people to succeed. A financial contribution towards a Cert Ed/PGCE will be available for the right candidate.

Whilst this role will be primarily classroom-based, we will also require you to have the digital skills to deliver effective lessons using a range of online resources and platforms (for example, Microsoft Teams or Blackboard). You will need to be adaptable, creative and resourceful in the face of the current challenges in education.
