Role: Health & Safety Officer

Location: Leicester

Salary: Neg dependent upon experience

Inizio Engage are working closely with a client who is seeking a Health & Safety Office for their SME Manufacturing business in Leicester. This position is a key role to the business and requires NEBOSH or IOSH qualification of the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and manage all health and safety policies and procedures
  • Conduct risk assessments, safety audits and site inspections to identify and mitigate hazards
  • Preventative measures regarding accidents and investigations
  • Health and Safety compliance and regulations are met to industry standards
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies on all health and safety matters
  • Lead safety training programs and workshops
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, preparing reports and recommendations of corrective actions
  • Employee wellbeing, working closely with the HR Team
  • Collaborate with senior management, promoting the importance of health and safety

Skills Required:

The successful candidate must have NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent certification

  • A good understanding of occupational health, COSSH, WEEE Regs and DSEAR
  • Experience of working within Health and Safety in a Manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of all health and safety regulations
  • Attention to detail, proactive approach, leadership ability
  • Problem solving skills and a confident manner to be able to liaise with people at all levels
  • Good PC Skills
  • Hours of Work are Monday to Friday 7am to 3.30pm
