Salary: £30,000 - £42,000 (DOE)

Our client is a leading manufacturer of precision-engineered cutting tools, specialising in bespoke cutting tools for the Aerospace and Automotive sectors.

As part of this expansion, we have a permanent opportunity for a Tooling Design Engineer to join our team in Leicester.
The Role:
This is a varied and engaging position within a precision engineering environment, focusing on the design of bespoke broach cutting tools. You will be involved in both technical design and problem-solving, working closely with customers and internal teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Producing design layouts for quotation purposes.
- Developing technical designs and specifications for broach tools based on customer requirements.
- Creating 2D and 3D CAD production drawings using AutoCAD and Inventor.
- Assisting with root cause analysis of technical issues and providing general design support.
- Supporting the production department with technical queries.
What We’re Looking For:
We are seeking an experienced Tooling Design Engineer with a background in precision engineering and tool design.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in an Engineering Design role, using 2D and 3D CAD
- Autodesk Inventor experience is essential
- A minimum qualification of HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering.
- A strong understanding of precision engineering and tooling design.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with technical and production teams.
