This top 25 chartered accountancy practice based in Northampton require an Audit Director that will be recognised as the Responsible Individual (RI).

The Audit Director will take ownership of the audit and assurance service lines, managing the processes throughout the team which includes but not limited to the delivery of audits, recruitment and completion of documentation to compliance requirements.

Beyond the day-to-day, you will play a key role within the senior leadership team, planning business strategy and being the face of the firm when networking and seeking to expand client portfolio and revenue initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the audit and assurance service line, including budgets, profitability and deliverables
  • Completion and sign off of documents, providing feedback to juniors and presenting findings to clients
  • Active representative of the firm including networking, business development and sector specific corporate events
  • Involvement in the firm's strategy, future business planning and recruitment.

What we are looking for:

  • ACCA/ACA qualified, with practicing certificate and RI experience
  • Strong technical ability with a working knowledge of recent developments in relation to audit, and accounting standards (UK GAAP / IFRS, ISAs)
  • Demonstrate leadership skills such as delegation and providing feedback.
