We are looking for a skilled and driven Audit Executive to join a Top 15 firm as part of its expanding Leicester office. With a diverse range of clients, from owner-managed businesses to large corporations, this role offers fantastic opportunities to advance your career.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out audits in accordance with firm procedures, seeking support from senior team members when needed.
- Plan audits, identify potential challenges, and apply appropriate audit tests.
- Delegate tasks to junior staff, providing clear instructions and guidance.
- Monitor team progress to ensure audits are completed on time and within budget.
- Review and approve audit sections before submission to senior management.
- Conduct final analytical reviews and draft client communications.
- Prepare or review financial statements and highlight key client issues.
- Offer technical advice and training to junior staff, helping to improve team effectiveness.
- Monitor team performance, provide constructive feedback, and complete performance reviews.
- ACA or ACCA qualified (or close to qualification) with relevant practice experience.
- 2-3 years of auditing experience with solid technical knowledge.
- Competence in planning, analysing, and completing audits.
- Familiarity with Excel, Word, and ideally CaseWare.
- Proven experience supervising or mentoring junior staff.
- Up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS, ISA; knowledge of US GAAP & GAAS is a plus).
- Client-focused with strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
