We are recruiting a job opportunity for a firm of long-standing firm of accountants based in Leicester, who are looking to hire a Semi-Senior to Senior Audit and Accounts professional. The role will include a relatively even blend of audit and accountancy work.

The salary is negotiable, will of course depend on experience and qualification level and is open within reason. The firm are open on hiring for either part-time or full-time hours.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Assisting with all stages of audits.
  • Presenting results to managers and agreeing commercially viable audit recommendations and business actions to address areas of risk.
  • Attending post-audit client meetings.
  • There is scope in the role to assist with Accounts preparation, Bookkeeping, VAT, and Tax returns.
  • Develop working relationships with clients to understand their business.
  • Collaborate effectively to complete assignments successfully.
  • Maintain assurance quality in line with professional standards.
  • Handle stock takes, manage bank letters, and complete feedback forms as needed.
  • Communicate progress and plan efficiently with Seniors or Managers.

Requirements:

  • Experience working within an accountancy practice environment, ideally including audit.
  • Undertaking professional study such as ACA/ACCA/CIMA (Desirable), qualified in one of these or qualified by experience
