Macildowie is collaborating with a client based in Leicestershire to recruit an experienced Financial Accountant on a 6mnth contract basis. This position offers a hybrid working arrangement.About the Company: Our client is a market-leading and innovative business. Role Purpose: The Financial Accountant will strengthen back-office functions at an exciting time for the business. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the role involves enhancing finance processes, ensuring data integrity within the finance system, leading annual external audits, overseeing tax requirements and managing cashflow reporting and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own balance sheet reconciliations, supporting and guiding the management accounts team.
  • Prepare Group accounts, including intercompany postings and reconciliations.
  • Review monthly management accounts for compliance with accounting policies and financial standards.
  • Create monthly and quarterly lender and investor reporting packs.
  • Lead annual external audits and prepare subsidiary and Group financial statements.
  • Manage all tax matters, including VAT, PAYE, Corporation Tax, R&D, P11d's etc
  • Oversee cashflow management and forecasting.
  • Develop and support finance software systems, processes, and control environments.
  • Provide finance support to colleagues in the UK and overseas.
  • Support the development and training of department members and the wider business.
  • Assist the wider Finance team and leadership as necessary.

Skills and Experience:

  • Along with previous Financial Accounting experience, experience with IFRS accounting.
  • Confidence in working with large datasets and assessing data accuracy.
  • Preferably experienced in a Group environment
  • Proven track record in fast-paced environments, delivering projects to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships at all business levels.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
