Macildowie Finance are currently supporting a leading privately owned business, based in North Leicester, to recruit a Financial Controller. You will be working as a key part of the Senior Management Team and will drive decisions and controllership across the business.The organisation has a very strong and collaborative culture, this role will be pivotal to the continued success of the business and has the potential to grown into an FD role in the medium term future. If you are a hands on Senior Finance Leader with a passion for coaching, developing and nurturing talent and a proven track record of leveraging systems capabilities and your data skills to streamline reporting and optimise efficiencies, then please read on....Within this role you will be responsible for: End to end production of the month-end management accounts including providing your review and commentary on areas of variance to plan etc. Commercial Financial Reporting - Sales Reporting, ad hoc commercial information etc. Management of the finance function - coaching, mentoring and nurturing the talent within the team. Working with the wider business to produce high quality budgets and forecasts. Drive a cost management agenda across the business, working proactively to challenge and manage all cost areas. Lead on the production of the Financial Reporting including the Tax Pack and Statutory Accounts. Cash flow management and reporting. Working collaboratively with the Senior Management Team to support and drive key strategic decisions. Be the key point of contact for a range of external partners/stakeholders including banking, auditors, pension providers etc. Continuous improvement of all finance activities - utilising systems/reporting skills to make the processes more efficient. About You You will be a Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) with previous experience of operating in a Senior Finance position. An established people manager with a background in performance management, coaching and development. You will be highly IT literate with the ability to disseminate large volumes of data, Excel skills up to Pivots, Look Ups, If Functions are essential. Previous ERP experience is essential, implementation/upgrade experience would be highly advantageous. You will require excellent time management and planning skills, having the flexibility to deal with multiple demands from a range of stakeholders, both finance and non-finance.
