RECfinancial are currently shortlisting on an exclusive basis to recruit an experienced Management Accountant to work within our Leicestershire based Charitable basis on either a part or full time basis. The role fits firmly within the heart of the finance function and they seek a detail-oriented and strategic individual to join them. Main Responsibilities of the Management Accountant role:

  • Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, financial statements, and reports for all departments.
  • Bank and control account reconciliations.
  • Assist and review budgets, forecasts and financial performance.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Supervising the sales ledger function procedures.
  • Lead and manage the Finance function.
  • Reconciling the fixed asset register.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual financial plans and audits.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the finance team in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assisting with the production of the statutory accounts, annual and monthly budgets and budgets reports.
  • Producing weekly and monthly sales data and profit and loss accounts.
  • Reconciling VAT monthly and checking that entries per the VAT analysis report are accurately stated.
  • Cash flow Analysis, Variance Analysis.
  • Oversee payroll procedures and staff pension requirements.

Skills and experience:

  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
  • Proven experience in management accounting or financial analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in accounting software: Xero, Excel - pivots, look-ups and macros.
  • Any previous experience within the charity sector would be ideal but not essential.
